Hello, all of you.
This is a topic of why I never use my microphone.
Okay, let's get started.
I have some reasons why I won't use my mic.
As you know, I'm 13 in August and still doesn't have that deep voice yet.
The thing is, I hate being called squeaker and child and that shit (still I'm a child)
That's one reason.
Another reason is my english, since I'm just 13 and Swedish. My English isn't that good and sometimes I say werid shit and it goes wrong.
When I get to talk to a person like for an hour, my English suddenly is better.
I need to TRUST the person I'm speaking with. I might start using my microphone soon.

I was the same when I first played Gmod and generally when I join a new server.
You could just report someone if they disrespect you.

When I was younger, I used to play the flying $hit out of Battlefield 2142. That game was so fun, and I remember using my mic ingame and people would call me a squeaker.
That was my emotionfull story about the time I got called a squeaker :c
But seriously though, as long as you don't scream down your mic or try to purposly be annoying over a mic, then I'm sure no one even cares.

Indeed, the internet can be quite hypocritical. Older teenagers pick on younger players about their voice, even after those teenagers were most likely 'bullied' back when they were younger... and the cycle continues.
